The "target panic" can provoque that the archer shoot the arrows out of target voluntarily, or even the unwillingness of shooting. Correcting it is not easy and even the help of a psicologist could be neccesary.

Begining

The Club ARC MONTJUIC was born in Barcelona, the 19th of March of 1984, by an archers group that, being training in the installations of Shooting field of Montjuic's Castell, they jointed and born Club ARC MONTJUIC.
Some of those archers still collabor nowadays in the expansion process of Club ARC MONTJUIC.
It is one of the Clubs exclusivally for Archery sport, in all its varieties.
It is, also, one of the Clubs more accredited and known in Spain, Catalonia and, of course, in our city Barcelona.
The Club ARC MONTJUIC works in different fields, like promotion, high competition, teaching, investigation, making an important social function.

Promotion

In this field, it is remarkable the difussion campaigns in several promotional manifestations, being the most accredited the "Salón de la Infancia y la Juventud", where we have taught our sport to more than 100.000 people per year.

High Competition

A big number of members of Club ARC MONTJUIC collabored activally in the organization of the Archery competition in the Olimpic Games of 92 in Barcelona, in the leadering and as volunteers and collabors.
Archers of Club ARC MONTJUIC are collaboring usually in all the varieties of our sport, having got County, Provincial and National titles.
Also, the Club ARC MONTJUIC has promoted the Spanish Championship of compound bows, collaboring in the organization of the two first Spanish Chanmpionships, placed in Barcelona, in the installations of Montjuic Castell.
First in the Standard Bow modality, got the approval of the Archery Spanish Federation and the Archery Catalan Federation, in inside and outside shooting.
First , also, in the ROUND 900
Organizing in more than once the State and Local Championships of these modalities.
The Catalan Federation has in its Social Schedule the competitions organized by Club ARC MONTJUIC, among which, the Field Shooting in DosRius is remarkable.
The Club ARC MONTJUIC collabors frecuently with its teams in the Spanish Club Competition, in the two modalities of Classic bow and Compound bow, having got its better classification in the 2000 year, what was a fourth place in Classic Bow.

Teaching

The Club ARC MONTJUIC got an important number of Club Monitors, County monitors, entitled by the Archery Spanish Federation. There are, also, among the members, teachers of The Sport Catalan School and National trainers.
In its installations and in other's Club installations, it has organized Archery courses, courses for new Jutges and Monitors, with students from all Spain.
Also it has representation as competition direction, with its County, National and International Jutges.

Investigation

Technics of Club ARC MONTJUIC have made important investigation works -over ocular laterality, psicology, Archery for blind people, etc...-
Also it has published works of historic character, technical, etc... through periodical bulletins and technical sheets.

Social Function

The social function among its member has been and is intense, organizing and giving life to the installations of Montjuic Castell with 14 social competitions per year, The Round 900 competition, its Festival Shooting of Spring, Christmas and and the Trofy of the Christmas Tree, and the Social Trofy, and other sport-socials meetings.

The Club ARC MONTJUIC has published bulletins and technical and social sheets which have informed the members about its activities and opinions, ending its job with the born of this web page.
It has celebrated holidays of end of year, "castañadas" and "eves", homages to its members, like the one to the reserve/archer to fire the Olimpic Burner in Barcelona-92, and the most recent, for two members, for their job during a lot of years in Club ARC MONTJUIC.
Yearly we cellebrate at least one "exit" to joint the archers families in one or two days festival shooting and the correspondig lunchs.
Members of Club ARC MONTJUIC joint the Managing of the Catalan and Spanish Federations, having got the "Golden Bow" one of our founders, maximun trofy of the Archery Spanish Federation.
