| The arrow's release is different for traditional and recurved bows or compound bows. Meanwhile, for the first ones the archer takes the string with his/her fingers, with or without mechanical protection, for compound bows it is neccesary to use mechanical releases. |

Push trigger release: |

Relaxing
trigger release: This model is not very usual but is very interesting. It is based upon the thumb relaxing pressure on the trigger. Its funtion is very simple: Once the target is focussed the thumb press on the trigger, but this doesn't produce the arrow release. Then all the attention is focussed in the target and when our sight is over it, the thumb pressure starts to decrease until the moment when the arrow is released (one never knows when it is going to happen). Using it is advisable to avoid the "target panic", and it is almost the ideal shooting named "surprising shooting". |

Strap
release , trigger for the index or medium fingers: This releases are widely used. The release is tied to the wrist so the trigger is placed to the first phalanx of the index or medium fingers. They make the arrow draw a litlle bit bigger. All the strenght is transmited directly to the writs and to the arm, freeding the fingers from any strenght. |

Back
tension release: First line archers try to shoot unconciously, without any order from their brains, while all the attention is focussed on the target. I can be done by tensioning the back muscles trying to joint the shoulder blades, what produces a slight rotation of the string arm, enough to free it from the release. This is the suitable model of release for archers who want to advance in this line. |
