SIGHTS:

The required characteristics for a good sight are: Stability to absorb the strong vibrations transmited from the bow; keeping all positions surely; precision; fast changing of positions; micrometric adjust.

COMPETITION SCOPES:

The competition scopes for shooting outside or inside, use to be circulars, of different diametres.
The screwed pin generally is 10/32
The lenses can be of several power: 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X and 6X. Bigger powers ones loose clearness and need extra clearing lenses.
The body material use to be alluminium, resistent to impacts and vibrations.
The lens is installed blocked with a screwed ring, making it very easy to be changed.
They must have a level perfectly squared with the vertical axe. The lens can have different pointing accesories: central dot, reticle, dot and concentric circle, ... In some cases they have a drilled hole for inserting a fiber optic pin.
The better the lens is, the easier to get the target. It is difficult to point to something that you can't see clearly. That's why lenses with anti-reflexing treatment and the best quality, as Swarovsky or Karl Zeiss are wished in every good Scope.

HUNTING SCOPES

They use to have several pins, so they help us correct the distances to the target without having to move the sight and also, we can calculate distances with them. For example, if we know the size of a deer, and through our scope we see it fitted between the first and the last pins, we can know the distance very accurately. Remember here the Thales Theorem.
Besides , these pins can be made of light optical fiber, and with a small battery, they can be seen perfectly in the darkness.

ARROW RESTS

There are lots of models and shapes of arrows rests. But like all the archery components, they must support strong vibrations and impacts, and they must be very easy to adjust.

SHOCK ABSORBERS

The big impact produced by the bow is transmited like a strong vibration to all the structure, that is neccesary to absorb to avoid the arrow being off of course because of the bow arm trembling.
There are different models of shock absorbers. They can have only one central shaft; three or more small shafts shaping a bigger one, etc., and several lenghts.
In general, the higher the power of a bow is, the bigger shock absorber capacity the units musts have.
For hunting, there are specific units, hydraulic ones, shorts and easy to carry in forest.

SILENCERS

These pices are tied to the string and their function is to shoot in silence. They are used mainly for hunting.

LOOPS

The loops are installed for pulling the string in the same axe than the arrow one, to avoid flexion load in the arrow tubes.
They are very advisable in the compound bows, helping gain power and precision.

QUIVERS

Useful to carry the arrows. There are lot of models and dessings, with one, two or three pockets, side pockets, etc...
There are model to be tied to the trousser belt, or to carry them in the one's back.
They are made of synthetical fibers or leather.

BOW RESTS

In competitions, and during training, it is neccesary to leave the bow behind the waiting line. It could be left directly on the grass or land, but this is not advisable because the vital parts of the bow could be damaged.
To solve this problem, they have dessigned different bow rests. To choose one or another depend upon the archer's critery.

PEEP

Very important piece. Its function is to focuss our sight through the scope lens, to the target.
There are lot of models, ones having lenses and another ones, not. The goal of the lens is that it helps to clear the vision through the scope, but the problem comes when the sun position provoques reflexions, making it very difficult to see something through it.
